Surgery
The Surgery Center at Sonora Regional Medical Center was designed to provide patients with the utmost in comfort, efficiency, quality and privacy. Our goal is to provide everything you need in one place so you don't have to worry about the discomfort of travel, the inconvenience of scattered doctors appointments or an interrupted recovery period.
The medical center has seven state-of-the-art surgery suites, a cardiac catheterization lab, an adjoining gastrointestinal lab, and spacious prep, hold and recovery areas. The surgery suites were designed to meet the needs of both the patients and their surgeons. There is special lighting in the operating room, and a flow pattern to each room that enables optimal teamwork. The medical center also has a separate entrance and reception and admitting area to accommodate patients and families for both outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures.
Our surgery center accommodates both inpatients and outpatients. For outpatients, friends and family members are welcome to wait in our comfortable reception area. There they'll find hot coffee and cocoa. And they'll be given a pager should they want to visit the cafeteria or take a walk.
Having surgery can be physically, emotionally and spiritually challenging. That's why we have support services to help you and your loved ones get through it. We can help you with social services, pastoral care, equipment needs and finding financial assistance.
Tuolumne and Calaveras County residents do not have to travel to large cities for superior surgery and patient care. The medical center offers many different types of surgery, including general gynecology; ear, nose and throat; orthopedics; ophthalmology; urology; general oral and maxillofacial surgery; cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery; gastroenterology; podiatry; and others.
Let the medical center's Surgery Center help you through your medical challenges and get you back to the quality of life you treasure. We can help you Live Well and Be Well.
